MODERATORS: Hopefully my wonderful Tabby & Bella <3.
1. This is a Literate board; we would like to keep it that way. So, meet the same expectations as everyone else and you'll be fine.
When posting on this site PLEASE use third person point of view .
Post lengths must be at least TWO (2) paragraphs. Not only that but please try to use decent spelling and grammar in your posts.
2. This forum isn't discriminatory, so please, no "hating," "bashing" or "trash talking." Be polite and considerate to the other members and their thoughts/opinions. Don't bring anyone else into your personal drama.
If you are caught doing any of these things (via PM, C-Box, etc) you will get ONE warning and then be banned.
3. Please no spamming with links or other advertisements. If you would like to affiliate or advertise, please do so in the proper section.
If you're caught spamming the site, C-Box or sending out mass PMs, you will be banned from the site. Thank you.
4. Keep in mind that the admin can see IP Addresses both on the site and in the Cbox. If you are found to be abusing either or breaking rules, you can easily be banned from one or both.
5. Try to keep all out of character comments in the C-Box, the out of character boards. There is a specific board for Ooc chats.
6. You are permitted to have ONE (1) character per account. You can have as many characters as you can get accepted, just remember to stay active. If you have an inactive character you will not be accepted for another.
7. If you start up an account, please be sure to post your character application and celebrity claim within ONE (1) week. Character applications should be posted in the according board under the Character Profiles. If you do not post within the allowed time you will be deleted.
8. Non-canon characters are accepted on this site and it would be greatly appreciated if you do not make up non-canon characters that are related to canons.
While creating a character profile, be creative! Even during the Marauder era, the school wasn't all purebloods. Also, it gets kind of tiresome to have a bunch of characters who are "misplaced." Try to be original that way it's more entertaining and the story lines/plots turn out interesting.[/blockquote]
Please NO MARY-SUES OR GARY-STUES!
If you intend to create a character that is any sort of "half breed" (Vampire, Werewolf, Veela, etc) or has some sort of "special power" aside from general magical ability (metamorphagus, plant manipulation, musical magic, etc) you MUST get it approved by an administrator first. This can easily be done by submitting a well written history of how/why your character is/has the characteristic to the ADMIN via PM.
9. When choosing a celebrity to represent your character, please do not to use the same PB (actor/actress/musician/model/etc) as someone else unless the characters are twins. There is also only ONE of each canon character allowed.
10. Canon characters can be reserved for up to ONE (1) week. If, after that time, you have not posted a character application/profile, it will be available for others to take.
11. Once you've posted your character application in the according board under Character Profiles and a celebrity claim, you must wait to be accepted before you are free to reply to threads or start threads of your own.
12. Though signatures with your character's PB are not required, if you choose to use one, be sure that it does not stretch the board. Nothing bigger than 500 pixels wide or 250 pixels high.
13. Don't post in a thread between two other people unless you have permission from both members or an invitation from at least one to join it.
14. While each person's perception of how a canon character might act/behave is different, if you've chosen to play a canon, do keep them CANON! Likewise, try to keep your characters canon to the house you've put them in.
15. Don't control other people's characters . Let everyone play their own character. It's more fun that way.
No killing other people's characters without the approval of its owner and a message to the ADMIN.
16. Most "scenes" and "language" are acceptable on these boards but you MUST add "R", "M" or "NC-17" labels in the title of explicit threads.

17. If, for any reason at all, you intend to be absent from this site/forum for an extended amount of time, please be sure to post in the Absences board. If your account is inactive for TWO (2) weeks without any notice, it will be deleted.
Everyone should be able to sign on and post at least ONE (1) time a week. This rule can be stretched a little and exceptions made but it would be greatly appreciated if your characters are active.
18. If you've been granted a position on the Quidditch team or as a school prefect, you must remain active on the site. If you do not, your position will be taken away and given to someone who would like it and is still active.
If you're granted a notable position (prefect, quidditch captain, etc) or are a professor/ministry official and are discovered to be abusing your "powers", you will receive ONE (1) warning. The SECOND (2nd) offense will result in a loss of your position.
19. Do not beg for relationships nor harass other members. This is a roleplaying site, not a dating service. If it is discovered that you are doing this, you will get ONE (1) warning. SECOND (2nd)offense will get you deleted.
On the same lines as the rule above, if you make multiple threads tagged specifically for the opposite gender it is considered the same sort of thing and the same restrictions apply.
20. Keep in mind that the Cbox is not a substitute for posting. It is understood that people do not always have muse to come up with replies to their threads but please do not use that as an excuse to solely "IC chat-play" in the Cbox.
21. Don't post anything over PG-13 in the Cbox. No excuses!
22. Please do not use the Cbox as an outlet for complaining about your personal life as this is still a roleplaying website. If you must discuss personal problems and have a mutual agreement with someone in specific to do so, please use Personal Messages instead.
23. Don't argue with the Admin or Moderators. If you have a problem, try to be civil about it and we can always work things out or come to some sort of compromise.
I reserve the right to over ride all of the other mods and admins. Thank you.
24. Secret Code for Application Template: The past can't be rewritten.
There isn't a problem until there's a problem...so more rules will be created/added as problems arise or complaints are made.
If you have any questions, comments or complaints at all, please don't hesitate to ask! That's what the ADMIN and MODS are here for. HAVE TONS OF FUN!!
